Lions are the only big cats that live in social groups. These groups, or prides, can have up to 30 lions. Male lions cycle in and out of different prides, but the females stay together for life.

- Lions hunt for large herbivores, like gazelle or wildebeest, as a group. Female lions are the primary hunters in the group and often work together as a team to take down large prey.

- Savannas, grasslands, shrublands, and forests of Africa.
